But then again, Dr. Brian Day, a strong supporter of some private insurance and founder of a private surgical facility, was recently elected by his peers to the presidency of the CMA. I'd say that most Canadian doctors agree that medicine should be universally available, and the difference is between those who think this can be achieved in a partly private system and those who don't.
